Geoff Keighley’s name is very specific within the gaming industry as he is still associated with The Game Awards, gamescom, and similar initiatives, and will now launch another event.
As is well known, there will be no E3 this year, and as a result, a host of “side shows” are planned to fill the void with the various actors. Geoff Keighley just removed the veil from Summer Game Fest 2020, which will be a change from May to August. We can expect a series of digital events that we can will include announcements, in-game events, playable content and more.
Editors include 2K Games, Activision, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Bethesda Softworks, Blizzard Entertainment, Bungie, CD Project Red, Digital Extremes, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Private Division, Riot Games, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Steam, Square Enix, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Each publisher will soon announce when their own event expires.
This will all end with gamescom 2020, which we can expect on August 24.
