The British government ordered a shortcut to all of England on Monday to curb the rapid spread of the new version of the coronavirus, writes the MTI.
The measure, which will take effect at midnight Tuesday, was announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in his televised speech Monday night.
Johnson stressed, however, that more people in the UK have already been vaccinated against the coronavirus than in other European countries combined, and the government expects everyone in the most vulnerable populations to receive the first dose of the coronavirus in mid-February. This will allow a series of restrictions to be lifted.
However, Johnson said even stricter restrictions are now needed.
In this spirit, from Tuesday, the entire population of England will return
- You can leave your home only in the most justified cases, such as shopping, getting medicine, medical care, or exercising.
- Schools must switch to online education.
- Outdoor sports facilities must also be closed.
