An extraordinary teaching recess was ordered on Wednesday at Kisfaludy Károly secondary school in Mohács, and the institution later announced that it would switch to digital education starting Monday, Szabad Pécs reported.

It was revealed on Thursday that one of the high school teachers had been diagnosed with the coronavirus, and the teacher in question attended an employee training last Friday, followed by a board meeting that was attended by all the institution’s staff. (29 teachers, 10 technicians).

At the request of Szabad Pécs, the director of the Mohács Tank District Center wrote that the people involved had fully complied with the epidemiological preventive measures, but that they had all been placed under official home quarantine. He added, “Operations staff can request digital work schedules outside of the classroom, and EMMI has prepared a proposal to that effect.”

The news portal contacted the Baranya County Government Office to see if testing of the school staff had already started, but received no response until our article was published.
