I quit Eszter Herskovits is one of the top 168 o’clock editors, which the editor has already taken note of – 24.hu learned from the outgoing editor.

He was fired on Wednesday Péter Rózsa editor-in-chief, the editor-in-chief of the weekly appointed last September. The decision Pál Milkovics, was brought by the CEO and co-owner of Brit Media, parent company of Telegráf Kft., owner of 168 Hours, who removed the editor-in-chief with immediate effect. Milkovics justifies that this weekly number of the newspaper was published by Rózsa in such a way that before a photo of Viktor Orbán and his family – his children – was published, whose use Milkovics described as unjustified and morally unprotected. In this article, we present the background to the decision.

Eszter Herskovits, who is now leaving after 12 years, emphasized to 24.hu:

It is a personal decision, the main reason is that I could not continue working in this new training with professional enthusiasm. I do not agree with the dismissal of Péter Rózsa, but I am sure that as long as my colleagues work there at 168 hours, there will be no change of course.

We had been looking for Péter Rózsa before to comment on the case, but he did not want to take the opportunity. His post at 168 o’clock is the deputy editor-in-chief of Pesti Hírlap, József Makai assumes the position, who in recent years worked first at Origo and then at Vs.hu, which became vacant after the editorial office left.
