The National Center for Public Health (NNK) is also investigating the detection of coronavirus in wastewater from Budapest agglomerations. – wrote koronavirus.gov.hu on Friday.
According to the announcement, new samples have been taken in recent weeks and settlements in the area of the capital agglomeration – Tököl, Biatorbágy, Szigetszentmiklós, Budakeszi, Százhalombatta – have already joined the sampling.

These: Békéscsaba, Székesfehérvár, Szombathely, Pécs, Eger and Budapest northern, southern and central areas.

The increase in concentration detected in the wastewater precedes the increase in the number of symptomatic diseases by 4 to 10 days. The results of the wastewater tests carried out by the NNK and the increase in the number of positive cases show that it is still very important to maintain disciplined behavior and epidemiological rules.
They highlighted on the government website that anyone with symptoms should not go to the community but rather stay home and notify their GP by phone. Avoid places where there are many indoors. If possible, maintain social distance where it is not possible to wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth.
Wear the mask in stores and on public transport. Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Anyone who has been ordered to have an official home quarantine for a stay abroad or for any other reason must strictly comply.
“If we adhere to all this, we can prevent the spread of infection and the introduction of new measures that limit our daily lives,” they said.
