The Dialogue proposes new measures to curb the coronavirus epidemic, such as the immediate order of a winter break for school and kindergarten, said Tímea Szabó, the party’s faction leader.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is “paralyzed, inactive” seeing the increase in the death toll from the coronavirus and doing nothing to improve the situation. According to the Politician of Dialogue, more steps are needed so that “Christmas is not a period of mourning and pain”, which is why they have summarized their initiatives in a proposal for a parliamentary resolution.

Citing this, he was the first to mention that the government should order an immediate winter break in schools and kindergartens until early January, when they could review how to make up for lost time, even extending the school year into the summer.

The cabinet must also provide 100 percent sick pay to workers who have been rendered incapable of work due to the coronavirus, and the state, following the Austrian model, must reimburse 90 percent of workers’ wages so that no one have to be fired.

The Dialogue also recommends that only one buyer be allowed for every ten square meters in the stores, and to avoid queuing in front of the stores, the opening hours of the stores should be extended until 9:00 p.m. and the beginning of the touch of remains at 22 hours.

Tímea Szabó also started that the state orders to work from home, when possible, and that social workers, similar to medical care, receive a one-time bonus of 500,000 HUF.
