New Wednesday of New Times by Peter Uj.
I’m interested
Gergely Gulyás, minister in charge of the Prime Minister’s Office, interpreted very specifically the situation at the University of Theater and Film Arts, where students protested and barricaded the university building because the university’s founding reserve abolished the full autonomy of University. Attila Vidnyánszky was appointed to the foundation’s board of trustees, but not even the one appointed by the university’s management has been included in the supervisory board. Attila Vidnyánszky’s main criticism of the SZFE is that it is neither national enough nor Christian enough.
Hírtv gave a sneak peek of the Bayer Show on Sunday night, where guest minister Gergely Gulyás stated that
“Those who are now demonstrating together with the University of Theater and Cinema are demonstrating because state supervision has ceased.”
He also said that it is up to everyone to decide if they want to participate in the training of the university to which they are admitted. And this constitutional right will not be taken away from students, even if they do not agree with what they are protesting and do not consider their fears justified.
Goulash added that he thinks it’s conceivable that until the situation is resolved, education will take place elsewhere because there are definitely students who want to study.
SZFE students organized another demonstration this afternoon to preserve university freedom.
