On Friday, 3.92 million people worldwide were infected with the new type of coronavirus worldwide, with the epidemic already causing 271,000 deaths and 1.35 million patients recovering from the infection.

Most of those infected so far have been registered in the United States, where 1.29 million people have been diagnosed with a new type of coronavirus, causing nearly 77,000 deaths in the country. By far the majority of Covid testing has also been done here: 8.3 million Americans have already been tested for signs of infection.

However, the epidemic has not proven to be the deadliest in the United States in terms of proportions: the epidemic has already caused 1,208 deaths per million people in San Marino, compared to 41 specific deaths in a country with a population of only 34,000. Of the largest countries with a population of at least one million, Belgium has had the highest number of deaths to date, with Covid-19 killing 735 people per million people, for a total of 8,521 deaths. In Belgium, the government reports that the death rate is so high because patients who die from Covid-19 are also registered, even if it is unclear if they were infected.

The second of these countries was Spain, where most of the world is now infected after the United States; Of the 257,000 patients, more than 26,000 died. Spain is followed by Italy, with 495 deaths per million people.

Hungary is 37th in the list of mortality data per million inhabitants, and we are in the upper middle field in the list of 176 registered countries.
