The Pest County Attorney General’s Office brought charges against a woman who, after her secret pregnancy, gave birth to her child in a populated public area and left her to her own devices.
According to the indictment, the woman became pregnant in the fall of 2018, but was not prepared for childbirth or raising children in any way. She tried to keep her condition a secret from her surroundings.
April 18, 2019 – pregnancy 32-33. week – experienced abdominal cramps. She started walking from her home in Gödöllő at that time, but on the way she felt that labor had started. He then made his way to a grassy area between two streets, where he gave birth to a boy under a bush, which he then left alone.
It was only by chance that the newborn was found in no time, but his body temperature was still only about 26 degrees. If not found, his death would have occurred within 1-2 hours.
After giving birth, the woman went home and took her dog for a walk.
The investigation was conducted by staff from the Pest County Police Headquarters Life Protection Branch, who identified and detained the woman within days. In the case, the Pest County Attorney General’s Office charged the mother with attempting to commit murder against a person under the age of fourteen. (The prosecutor’s office)
