He reached the southern Italian island of Lampedusa in September, from where the Nice killer made his way to France, Italian press reported on Thursday.
He’s 21 years old Brahim Ausszaui arrived in Lampedusa on September 20 on a boat carrying migrants. He was quarantined for two weeks and then transferred to a camp in Bari, Puglia, on October 9. Identified by local authorities but not registered as dangerous. As a good practice, he was subsequently given an expulsion document so that he could freely leave the reception center.
He came to France on his own. According to press reports, the Italian secret services are trying to find out the exact route of the man.
If the Nice killer really ended up in Lampedusa and then regularly disappeared after Bari, then Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese must resign.
He pointed Matteo Salvini, leader of the opposition League party.
Mariastella Gelmini, Lamorgese, leader of the Hajra Italia (FI) faction in the House of Representatives, urged an immediate parliamentary hearing. Gemini said news of Italian Red Cross documents was found in the man’s pocket.
