As Origo reported, two people were killed on Highway 8 on Friday in a massive accident. The collision may have been caused by irregular overtaking. A 55-year-old woman from Ajka, a head nurse at Ajka hospital, and a 31-year-old man from Veszprém died. Her last phone rang a few minutes after the accident, her mother called, but she could only speak to the ambulance.

Six cars collided in the accident, which may have been caused by improper overtaking, police are investigating the circumstances of the case, according to a report from TV2 Facts. Five injured were taken to various hospitals by helicopter and ambulance. There are children among the injured.

In the accident, the cars were so smashed that only two firefighters were able to free two people, but one of them was already dead.

One of those killed in the accident worked in a hospital in Ajka. The director of nursing said they were shocked by the news, a great loss for the hospital as a nurse with extremely extensive professional experience was lost.

The car in which the head nurse was traveling was driven by her son, who saw his mother die. The other fatal victim, a 31-year-old man, called his phone a few minutes after the tragedy, his mother called, but was only able to speak to ambulances.
