The Kaposvár District Prosecutor’s Office has prosecuted two young men who beat a commentator on a long-distance bus who had previously criticized by the community that one of the defendants had been transferred to the soccer team of another village.
When the 17- and 16-year-old boys noticed a commentator who was also playing for this team on a long-distance bus to Fonyód in February this year, they took responsibility for the criticism and were later called in to fight, in which the victim did not get involved.
However, the defendants attacked the victim, who was beaten and kicked several times, and during the ensuing fight, the Plexiglas partition on the back door of the bus was also broken.
The fight eventually ended with one of the passengers standing between the defendant and the victim while the bus driver notified the police. During the abuse, the victim suffered minor injuries.
In its indictment presented to the Fonyód District Court, the Prosecutor’s Office proposed the application of a measure of probation against the accused minors, stating that the accused would be on probation during his term.
