A 39-year-old patient died in a rural hospital on Saturday afternoon. He was a teacher, taught at an institution attended by elementary and high school students. On September 17, he developed symptoms of a cold, but as it regularly happens in the school community in the fall, also in his years, it was initially not given much thought.
The victim’s wife told 444 that the 39-year-old teacher’s symptoms had not subsided the next day, and called her GP, who recommended an antipyretic and a hot drink. On the weekend of September 19-20, her condition deteriorated significantly, first with a fever and then with a fever, a sore throat, and a constant cough. On Monday he was very sick, he couldn’t breathe. He called the doctor again, who sent him to the hospital.
They put him in the class of covid suspects, a sample was taken from him. Two days later, his test came back positive. He was transferred to the certified covid intensive care unit, but by then his breathing had collapsed, he had to be ventilated by a machine, they placed him in an artificial coma. He was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia and the coronavirus also attacked his heart. He died last Saturday, October 3, 12 days after being hospitalized.
Their final report also states that “overall, in a hypertensive and diabetic patient, SARS-2 COVID-induced respiratory failure, ARDS progressed to multiple organ failure, which was no longer reversible with complex intensive therapy and resulted in the death of the patient. “.
However, it is not included in the operational tribe statistics among the victims. Because there are no names, but there is an age. However, a victim of this age has not been listed on the central government’s epidemic website since four days after the teacher’s death.
However, Cecília Müller always talks about those who died in the last 24 hours in her daily press conferences, so in principle, the man should have been mentioned in the report on Sunday, but no later than Monday.
There is only one victim under the age of 40 on the daily updated list on koronavirus.gov.hu since last Saturday. Not the teacher, but a 21-year-old woman with severe thrombocytopenia and brain hemorrhage as the underlying disease.
Because of the 21-year-old victim, national chief Cecília Müller spoke today at a daily “press conference” on how to compile a list of victims: “Surely many of those who browse koronavirus.gov.hu can see that the last 24 The age of the 24 patients who died at 1 am is very broad, including a 21-year-old compatriot, a young woman who died of a very rapid, tragic, and life-threatening illness. Coronavirus infection may have been the cause. of death, but of course, as we have reported several times before, all people in Hungary who die and have tested positive for coronavirus are counted among the deaths. ”
The teacher, who died on Saturday, had a positive coronavirus test, with COVID-induced respiratory failure as the cause of death in the final report, but not among the victims. Officially, there are 877 victims of the epidemic in Hungary.
