Nyíregyháza Police Headquarters is prosecuting a minor in Mezőztereszt on a well-founded suspicion of a misdemeanor, police said on its website.
The 34-year-old man and his 37-year-old wife arrived in Nyíregyháza-Sóstógyógyfürdő on Sunday afternoon with their three children. The parents parked the car near the zoo and left their 14-year-old daughter alone for several hours. Before the family left, the father rolled up the power windows and locked the car with a central padlock.
A citizen informed the police that a girl in a locked car parked on a hot day had asked him for help because she was ill and could not breathe. The girl tried to open the doors from the inside, her assistant from the outside, but failed.
The police rushed to the place, where there were already several people with the intention of helping. Two patrols, seeing the increasingly desperate girl in the cabin, made a quick decision: after one of the helpers broke one of the car’s windshield with a key, the police took the girl out of the cabin.
The heated young man was taken to the hospital by ambulance personnel. After the rescue came the parents, who said they did not believe that such a problem could happen, they thought that the girl could open the door of the car closed with a central lock from the inside – writes police.hu.
Eight years ago, in the old Index, Dani Ács and several of my colleagues at the time locked themselves in a parked car on a hot day, something really unpleasant.
