There has been a small scandal surrounding the game in the past few days, but that will no longer affect the premiere.

the Naughty dog after several postponements, it really looks like he’s done his job: it’s been The last of us: part II. One of the last major PlayStation 4 exclusive titles was recently delayed due to the coronavirus epidemic, but fortunately it turned out to be only a few weeks away from the original plans.
At the same time, we can’t pass without saying a word, as it turned out a few days ago for the game’s premiere on June 19. This was preceded by a fairly significant leak, in which various twists and details that were key to the story were revealed to fans (these were not intentionally reported by us). According to some theories, the leak was a former developer who wanted revenge on the studio for what was rumored to be almost inhumane working conditions.
Right now, it is increasingly likely that it is not a vengeful coworker but a hacker who is responsible for the leak. This, in turn, no longer changes the fact that fans who carelessly read the leaked information were deprived of many unexpected surprises.
Regarding Naughty Dog, it has been pointed out several times in recent years that despite the studio’s near-constant successes, I’m not a daughter to work for. In the video game industry, so-called crisis time is common practice in many large development studios, which means that with the upcoming release, an insatiable amount of extra work, developers often work 12 to 16 hours per night and weekends to carry out the project on time. And Naughty Dog is reportedly no exception, plus many overtime hours and additional staff demands were barely adequately paid. That’s why news also surfaced that a staff member was responsible for the leak.
Whether that is the case or not, the news is that Naughty Dog is preparing to radically change its development workflows after the premiere of The Last of Us: Part II so that the crisis time phenomenon does not happen in the future. .
So The Last of Us: Part II is now complete, so all that’s left is a duplication of the boxed version. This is also welcome because for the last slip, the study has pointed out possible logistical problems, but it seems that they have managed to close this. So The Last of Us: Part II is now almost certain to launch on June 19, exclusively for PlayStation 4. ■
