The good world is over, after two months, gasoline will be more expensive again

Mol will increase the price of gasoline by 6 forints on Wednesday, holtankoljak.hu discovered. The price of diesel does not change.

This will end the two-month price drop. Most recently, on February 26, fuel prices rose. Since then, the price of gasoline and diesel per liter has fallen by HUF 100 and HUF 80, respectively. (As of Wednesday, the average price of gasoline will be 294 forints, and that of diesel will be 318 forints).

The current price increase should come as no surprise, in part because the government will tax service stations starting May 1. In part, world crude oil prices have already risen a bit in the past week.

However, gas stations are experiencing a drastic 20-30 percent drop in refueling, after Shell, Mol will also shut down their wells in a row, and for most of the rest, will shorten opening hours.
