The Last of Us Part 2 or Cyberpunk 2077?

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the most important video player question of the year: how many copies will Assassin’s Creed Valhalla order? Okay, sorry, it was a weak joke, let’s move on to what I was already aiming for in the title.

2020 has seemed like a very brutal video game year since last fall, but in the meantime, for example, the pandemic and procrastination have been mixed, so earlier this year, this year didn’t even seem that exciting (mainly because a lot of looks evaporated from the spring). But now again it seems that this year is going to be unusual. We have awarded 10 points to two games so far this year (one here, the other here) (although nothing in 2018 and 2019), Sony and Microsoft insist on launching new consoles this year despite the epidemic, and both games Most anticipated in recent years have finally had stable release dates (apparently). In this situation, it is not easy to decide what to spend our money on, so a person has a preference, so now let’s talk about it:

Should I choose, The Last of Us Part 2 or Cyberpunk 2077?

Sure, a lot of you are probably with him just getting both, but now let’s play you have to choose between the two! Or if there is something that interests you more than that, feel free to write about it too.

Péter Nagy (news editor, tester, who suddenly became very, very curious)

Cyberpunk 2077. Simply because it seems like a mechanically more meaningful game than Ellie’s wild journey into crazy Washington (I mean, the state). For a long time, I thought I wasn’t going to deal with Naguhty Dog’s depression simulator because I didn’t find it particularly interesting except for the earlier part of its story, but some orbital spoilers from the game suddenly leaked out. very The game became interesting in my eyes. It hurts a little that I can’t talk about the details until it comes to light, but I think one of the ideas in TLOUP2 is pretty clever. Or that canbecause the whole game can be slapped in the implementation. Bottom line: I disagree with those who come up with Naughty Dog healing the sequel. Or, of course, there is a possibility, but I don’t think the information suggests that, and it’s impossible to say in advance.

But that still makes me more interested in the Project CD role play. I haven’t been there for The Witcher 3 as much as many others, but I tend to appreciate Deus Ex-like worlds and character-building freedom, and Mike’s Pondsmith Night City seems not only whimsical, but adult and morally complex. I hope the news is true and that you can be a true corporate dog, that you can transform into more than just a money hungry bastard. I love these strange characters.

It reminds me of a complete mess that the Phantom of Thsusima was caught between the two. We had a summer as dense a long time ago as it is now.

It’s a difficult question, a difficult question, but I could only decide. I really liked The Last of Ust, but I’m there for the open world, especially if they have a more interesting story besides exploring and role-playing. So I would choose Cyberpunk 2077. Admittedly, I would like to point out that I prefer post apocalyptic dystopias rather than cyberpunk science fiction, they are closer to me. Maybe that’s why I love the countryside and survival games: because in them nature is quite dangerous, but we only get close to mystical nature, and here we have to deal with wild beasts, be they zombies or gangs of Mad Maxes ( Metro Exodus became one of my favorite games of 2019). I don’t like high-tech, implantable things as much as disembodied science fiction. Because of this, The Last of Us Part 2 gets a positive point, but even more so, the world of Cyberpunk 2077, which seems to be alive, free and destructive in every way, is more attractive. I also love story-oriented games, but in them I always feel like they’re surrounded by invisible walls or clicking invisible handcuffs on my hand and the strict guards are watching to see if I’m on the designated path.

So I think it’s best if the interaction is at the highest possible level, and the story, while important, is more of a kind of guide to making sense of what I’m doing (my favorite example is The Forest, where it’s a lot of fun. explore the island while exploring, collecting and building). Cronenberg’s Horror Secret). Nothing illustrates this attitude of mine more than the fact that I usually spent hundreds of hours in episodes of The Elder Scrolls series without understanding the end of the main story (I’ve seen the outro from Morrowind once, Oblivione and Skyrime never before, although I did ). I played a lot with both). Anyway, I have times when I crave a good story and I’m not happy with watching a movie, that’s when The Last of Us or Uncharted-caliber games are perfect.

BTW, I’m looking forward to the Ghost of Tsushima mentioned by a colleague more than both for now, because what I’m doing is science fiction, I really like swordsman-b * movies and puns, especially when playing in an environment medieval japanese. Although my expectations are very high after the excellent Sekiro and Nioh 1-2, maybe Sucker Punch can offer something new compared to these, as it will be specifically a realistic game, historically true, without fantasy elements. Oh, and of course, I’m interested in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, although that adds to the dark medieval milieu, mainly because I am very curious if Ubisoft was really serious about moving to a more exclusive game development and opting for uniform mechanisms. So you’re excited about how much you can go beyond the schemes of AC and Far Cry games.

Uh, well, that’s a pretty difficult question. But only for the first time. As much as I respect and appreciate the work and attitude of Project CD, cyberpunk science fiction is not so much my world. And yes, perhaps in terms of variety and content, Cyberpunk 2077 seems to promise more, but I would certainly vote for The Last of Us 2. Anyway, I like Naughty Dog games, not many people in the video game industry can. Say as much as they do, but by browsing previews, I think we’re getting a much more complex piece of them in-game now, crowning this generation.

That’s why I was so sorry that the game’s biggest twists and turns were leaked, and essentially the whole story. With over a month to go, I did myself a favor and read / watched all available spoilers, I couldn’t have avoided them anyway, not even for work. At the same time, I must say, so I am even more interested in the whole thing, because we expect a very bold sequel, not only in the story, but also in its solutions. Which of course can go very wrong, but let’s be honest, this is Naughty Dog: I vote for them to trust.

Well, how are you with him? Which do you expect better? Write in the comment!
