Coronaviruses: More than a million have been cured worldwide, but the second wave is approaching

On Thursday morning, there were still 3,194,523 infected, 227,659 dead and 973,371 recovered. The infection is present in 187 countries. The number of cases diagnosed does not accurately reflect reality, because the number of tests is more or less limited in each country, and the criteria for accounting also differ.

  • The majority of Covid-19 deaths caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus occur in the United States, where there were 1,069,826 confirmed infections, 63,006 deaths, and 153,947 survivors.
  • In Spain, there are 213,435 infected, 24,543 deaths and 112,050 patients recovered.
  • In Italy, 205,463 were infected with coronaviruses, 27,967 were fatal, and 75,945 recovered from Covid-19.
  • In France, 167,299 people were infected, 24,410 were killed, and 50,380 were recovered.
  • In the UK, there are 172,481 people infected, 26,842 people have died from the disease and 859 have recovered from it.
  • In Germany, there are 163,009 infected, 6,623 deaths and 123,500 cured.
  • In Turkey, 120,204 infections were registered, 3,174 in deaths and 48,886 in recovered ones.
  • In Russia, there were 106,498 infected, 1,073 deaths and 11,619 recovered.
  • In Iran, there are 94,640 infected, 6,028 deaths and 75,103 recovered.
  • In China (excluding Hong Kong and Macao), 83,956 cases were reported on Friday morning. 4637 people died from the disease caused by the virus. The number of cured was 78,523.
  • In Brazil, the number of infected was 87,187, the number of fatalities 600,600, and 35,935 the number of those recovered.

Meanwhile, the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in new Hungarian citizens, bringing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 2,863. Another 11 chronic patients died. This increased the number of deaths to 323, and 609 left the hospital after recovery. 983 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 49 of whom are on ventilators.
