Index – Hungary – Zsolt Boldogkői: Current legislation should apply to vaccines

In terms of vaccination, we are becoming more and more global, which will soon have a beneficial effect on today’s even unfavorable health statistics, says Zsolt Boldogkői, doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, head of the Department of Medical Biology of the University of Szeged. Two problems remain to be solved.

Do not open schools in April, he asked, adding that vaccinations for children have not yet started and teachers will not receive enough immunity. “If that weren’t enough, the British variant is dangerous for children, plus they take the virus home with them,” he noted.

Furthermore, Zsolt Boldogkői also wrote that we cannot get rid of the coronavirus because vaccination does not increase further due to lack of vaccination. According to him, anti-vaccination should be broken down and people’s willingness to get vaccinated should be increased. He sees that one means of doing this could be a protection card, which could be used to issue licenses, and skeptics of the epidemic and voices against vaccination should be held accountable under current legislation.

I feel that the opposition has also changed their strategy and is no longer agitating too much against oriental vaccines

He closed his Facebook post.
