SUPs had to be rescued from the lake.

While patrolling Gyenesdiás, personnel from the Balaton Water Police Department noticed on Friday afternoon that two people were heading towards the middle of the lake with the strong wind on the paddle board (SUP).

The two women could no longer row to shore on their own, so the uniformed men helped them into their boat and took them ashore.

At the time of the rescue, there was a grade I storm sign on the lake.

The water police drew attention to the fact that if someone got into trouble in the waters of Lake Balaton or noticed a person in trouble, they would call the emergency number 1817.
