528,000 people completed the online consultation on the restart, said Csaba Dömötör, parliamentary secretary of state in the Prime Minister’s Office, in a video posted on Saturday.

88% of those surveyed said that epidemiological restrictions should be lifted gradually, step by step. Only 12 percent said they were one step ahead of the epidemic.

Sixty-five percent of the participants agree that holders of a security certificate should be exempt from certain restrictive measures.

According to 74 percent, if the epidemiological situation allows it, the first steps should be to relax the curfew after 8 pm, under strict security regulations. In the case of the opening of restaurants and hotels, this support is 87 percent, and in relation to the opening of sports facilities it is 75 percent.

58 percent of participants agree that holders of a safety certificate should be able to attend events such as concerts and sporting events.

Result of the question on the entry of foreigners: 79 percent of those surveyed agree that only foreigners who have been vaccinated or have a protection certificate can enter the territory of Hungary until the end of the epidemic.

Detailed results will also be published on the government’s website, added the secretary of state.

Csaba Dömötör also spoke about the fact that the government will prepare a restart plan based on the results, some sections of which will be adjusted to the number of vaccines administered. The Prime Minister will discuss the details of the opening with Hungarian experts and with the Prime Ministers of Foreign Affairs who are ahead of us.
