Due to bleeding, blood clots and low platelet counts, three Norwegian health workers who have been vaccinated with AstraZeneca have been hospitalized, MTI reported, citing Norwegian health authorities.

We do not know if the cases have something to do with the vaccine.

– said Sigurd Hortemo, a senior representative of the Norwegian Medicines Agency (NMA) at a press conference held on Saturday in conjunction with the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. He added that the European Medicines Agency (EMA) is investigating all three cases.

Meanwhile, Steinar Madsen, MNA’s medical director, informed patients

they had very unusual symptoms: bleeding, blood clots, and low platelet counts.

Norway stopped vaccination with a vaccine developed by the British-Swedish pharmaceutical company and the University of Oxford on Thursday after a death from a vaccine in Austria and Denmark, respectively.

The European Medicines Agency said in a resolution Thursday that there was no evidence that vaccination caused the deaths of these people. They added that the benefits of the vaccine outweigh its risks and that it can continue to be used.

A Slovak nurse also died on Saturday morning after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine.
