Family doctors continue to vaccinate with the Chinese vaccine. As individuals, it was still Sunday, a little earlier than expected, but Viktor Orbán was also vaccinated with this vaccine. The number of vaccinated people is already 721,677, of which 252,847 people have already received their second vaccination.

So far 550,000 Chinese vaccines have reached Hungary. Peter Szijjártó said Friday that another 500,000 vaccines are expected from China in March. The chancellor spoke on Sunday that 280,000 Russian vaccines had been launched. On Tuesday another shipment from Pfizer is also arriving.

Meanwhile, a new vaccine has also appeared on the market. The US Pharmaceutical Authority, EDA, has already approved an application for authorization for a product developed by Johnson & Johnson’s Belgian subsidiary, Janssen Pharmaceuticals. A special feature of the vaccine is that a single dose is enough to protect it.

Viktor Orbán said on Kossuth radio on Friday that he had ordered a higher level of preparedness in hospitals because, according to himself, the situation in institutions was “deteriorating dramatically.” The prime minister also spoke about tightening the borders to accelerate the spread of the coronavirus.

Miklós Kásler also spoke about the fit. The Human Resources minister said in a newspaper interview on Tuesday that he would consider it conceivable, for example, to close schools, advance or extend the hiatus, but would also tighten the opening hours of stores outside grocery stores and pharmacies.

The protection measures remain in effect until March 15, while the travel rules have also been tightened.
