Index – Abroad – You can come with a health card in France

The health certificate for a planned coronavirus infection by France will also show the owner’s negative PCR tests, Secretary of State for European Affairs Clément Beaune said on Sunday.

Vaccination cannot be the only magic word to resume activities, otherwise we will create a very unfair and two-speed society. We need different solutions, we need to expand our tools. At the moment, the coronavirus vaccination is only available to those at risk and the younger age group will not have access to it until the summer. With a negative PCR test, you can currently board a plane and travel anywhere in Europe, because someone who has a negative PCR test does not pose a risk.

The secretary of state emphasized. The French government is considering introducing a health card to lift epidemiological restrictions, including opening restaurants and cultural institutions closed due to the epidemic. However, the certificate would not be a vaccination certificate.

There may be an application, or you may be presented with a vaccination certificate that someone is protected, or a reliable PCR test or rapid test, which also means that someone is not a risk.

Clément Beaune added. The secretary of state also drew attention to the fact that because someone has been vaccinated and protected, it is not yet certain that they will not transmit the virus. The Heads of State and Government of the EU ask for more consultations on vaccination certificates.
