Young people are vaccinated for a long time, the French say it would be fair.

Coronavirus – the second year

It has been more than a year since the Chinese authorities informed the WHO of the emergence of a new, rapidly spreading virus. Since then, there has hardly been a person in the world who has not heard the term Covid-19, and more and more people are mourning a family member or friend with whom the new disease ended as stocks collapsed in weeks and our entire lives were rewritten by the epidemic. By now, the vaccines have been completed, which in turn raises not only hope, but again many questions, while not only stopping the virus, but also threatening another mutation. You can find the details of this fight in our article series.

“Vaccination cannot be the only magic word to resume activities, otherwise we will create a very unfair two-speed society,” said the French government member on a joint program on French public television and radio. “We need different solutions, we need to expand our tools,” he added, recalling that vaccination against the coronavirus is only available to those who are at risk for the moment and the younger generation will not have access to it until the summer.

“With a negative PCR test, you can currently board a plane and travel anywhere in Europe because someone who has a negative PCR test is not a risk,” emphasized the Secretary of State.

The French government is considering introducing a health card to lift epidemiological restrictions and, within that, open restaurants and cultural institutions closed due to the epidemic. However, the certificate would not be a vaccination certificate.

“There can be an application, or the vaccination certificate can be presented to show that someone is protected, or a PCR test or a reliable rapid test, which also means that someone is not a risk,” he said.

Clément Beaune also pointed out that because someone had been vaccinated and protected, it was not yet certain that they would not transmit the virus.

The Heads of State and Government of the EU ask for more consultations on vaccination certificates.
