The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 2,623 new Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 405,646. In recent days, we have sadly seen similarly high values, which may be due to the spread of the British mutation in Hungary. The steady rise of the seven-day moving average reaffirms what we wrote last week, Unfortunately, the epidemic has broken out again in Hungary, the third wave is on the rising branch in Hungary.
The number of tests performed decreased from 23,167 to 15,925, while the positivity rate within the tests performed jumped above 16%. Based on the past few days, it can still be said that the trend of positivity is increasing, which does not indicate much about national epidemic processes either.
However, the good news is that the death toll was as low as on Sunday, 48 Hungarian citizens died of coronavirus and their total number rose to 14,347.
