Legionaries: Attila Szalai signed for Fenerbahce – official

The Fenerbahce football team announced on their official website that they had signed Attila Szalai from Apollo Limassol in Cyprus. The 22-year-old eight-time defender from the Hungarian national team has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Turkish club.

The Hungarian team, which left Apollo in Cyprus a year and a half, arrived in Istanbul on Saturday night, and on Sunday morning they attended and passed medical examinations at the Acibadem Altunizade Hospital.

SZALAI IN THE APOLLON
Attila Szalai has played for the Cypriot club in 40 games since his arrival in July 2019, scoring five goals and providing three assists, according to statistics from transfermarkt.com.

As reported on Friday night, Apollon has already agreed with Fener on the transfer and its fee: according to Turkish press reports, the Istanbul club can pay 2.3 million euros for Szalai’s playing rights, twenty per one hundred of this amount, or more than 400 thousand euros to the previous club.
