It is official that the former Tottenham manager will replace Thomas Tuchel on the Paris bench.

It has been made official that Argentine Mauricio Pochettino will be the coach of the Paris Saint-Germain soccer team, writes Gazzetta dello Sport. The coach signed his contract on Saturday through June 2022 (plus a one-year option) and will hold his first training session on Sunday.

Pochettino was already a PSG player as a player in the early 2000s.

The interesting thing is that Pochettino was expelled from Tottenham last November after leading the team to the BL final earlier. German Thomas Tuchel, who has led PSG so far, also led the Paris team to the BL final this year and was sacked on December 24. According to press reports, Tuchel’s relationship with Brazil’s sports director Leonardo has recently deteriorated, certainly not regardless of whether the star-studded squad was only in third place in the league.
