Gallup has been conducting research every year for decades to find the answer to who was the most admired man of the year in America. This year’s survey yielded a very surprising result.

In the case of men, the outgoing president, Donald Trump, introduced himself first. This is surprising for several reasons: on the one hand, if he is so admired why he did not win the election, and on the other hand, during his four years as president, he never managed to finish in first place in the Gallup poll. In the years that Trump’s presidency lasted, and even for the past 12 years, his predecessor, Barack Obama, has been the most admired man in America. Trump took first place from him this year, while Obama finished second this year.

For the ladies, Obama’s wife, Michelle, finished in the lead, and for three years, she has been in this series, while the resigning First Lady, Melania Trump, took third place. This may even suggest that voters expressed their views regardless of party affiliation, as men were Republicans in the case of men and women with the Democratic spirit at the fore. Coming in second in the women’s field was incoming Vice President Kamala Harris, while Joe Biden came in third among the gentlemen, just ahead of Dr. Anthony Fauci, a leading figure in the fight against coronavirus, director of the US National Institute of Infectious Diseases.

According to an analysis by National Public Radio, Pope Francis Faucit was followed by Elon Musk, who was at the center of the news throughout the year. Microsoft founder Bill Gates, basketball genius LeBron James and the Dalai Lama also finished high. It is interesting that in the voting of previous years, a former Pope, II. János Pál, who finished a total of 27 times in the top 10, and in 1980 he took first place.

The women’s field has also developed in interesting ways from the podium, as unusually many foreigners in America, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Swedish climate activist Greta Thurnberg, and New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, have also they performed well. Joined them as a foreigner II. Queen Elizabeth, but her popularity comes as no surprise as she has been in the top 10 for a total of 52 years, setting an all-time record.
