German THW Kiel won 36-35 in the extra time battle against men’s handball team Telekom Veszprém in the Champions League semi-finals in Cologne. The people of Veszprém will play Paris Saint-Germain for the bronze medal at 6pm on Wednesday, in the final Kiel will meet Barcelona.

According to the report on Veszprém’s official Facebook page, Rasmus Lauge and Manuel Strlek are absent from the semifinals due to injury, but Ligetvár has also been left out of the frame. Although the player’s coronavirus tests are already negative, his blood test has not returned a reassuring result, so the club’s doctors will not allow him to play.

Máté Lékai is the only Hungarian player on the frame list against Kiel.
