If the Russian opposition politician, recently poisoned with novices, does not return to Moscow on Tuesday, he will have to go to jail.

Russia’s Federal Prison Service issued an ultimatum to opposition politician Alexei Navalny on Monday, writes Reuters. The subpoena says a politician recovering in Germany from his poisoning will return to Russia, where he will report to Moscow on Tuesday, or go to jail.

Navalny was sentenced in 2014 to suspended prison for robbery. The politician said he was convicted in a concept lawsuit. The suspended sentence would expire on Wednesday, December 30 of this year. However, according to authorities, as Navalny is no longer in the hospital, he is violating the conditions of the suspension by failing to report.

Navalny’s press secretary, Kira Jarmis, said it was an opportunity for the politician to get to Moscow on time. As he said, the prison service knows this too, but the Kremlin has ordered them to demand the impossible.

Alexei Navalny was taken to the hospital in August unconscious from poisoning after being ill on a domestic flight. He was transferred to Germany for medical treatment for a few days. According to the German doctors who treated him, he was poisoned with rookie-type neurotoxins. The Kremlin has repeatedly denied that the Russian authorities had anything to do with it, but during a nearly fifty-minute conversation, an agent of the Federal Security Service (FSB) recently informed Navalny, who called him under a pseudonym, in detail about the circumstances of the poisoning. Lyubov Statue, Navalny’s lawyer, was detained by the Russian authorities for two days in this regard and released on Monday.
