Boiling wine at Christmas fairs is a romantic program, but it is also quite expensive. This year, the Christmas fairs are late, but the season is not. So whoever doesn’t want to end the holiday season without drinking mulled wine, follow our advice because this is how we believe the perfect mulled wine is made.

Add 1 bar of wine to a bar of cinnamon, cloves, sugar to taste. If you can vary the traditional recipe, it is good to know that chili, orange peel, or lots of rum can go well with red. The rum can also go white, in which you can even put a little ginger.

In addition to the recipe, here are some tips:

  • The most important basic knowledge is that you should never boil the wine despite its name, because then the alcohol will evaporate.
  • When the wine reaches 78 degrees when it cooks in the pan, remove from heat.
  • Check the desired temperature with a household thermometer or called a core thermometer.
  • After removing the leg from the heat, leave the lid on for another 5 minutes because the ingredients really lose their flavor during this time.
