Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections had been identified per day and the number of deaths from the virus mostly ranged from 50 to 100 in 24 hours. The first step is a partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

A total of 18 people have already died from a coronavirus infection among those cared for at a nursing home in Mol, near Antwerp, Belgium.

The infection may have entered the institution during the Santa Claus celebration in early December, as the man dressed as Santa, who was visiting there at the time, was later found to be coronavirus. However, the exact source of the infection is still being investigated, and the city’s mayor, Wim Caeyers, said several labs are working on the case.

The infection has so far affected a total of 121 inmates and 36 staff members.
