On Friday, December 25, 2020, one of the largest industrial and sanitary gas companies in the country received a request to distribute the first shipment of the coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech at -70 degrees Celsius.

The vaccine, which requires special treatment, can be administered using dry ice, containers with special sensors, and ventilated vehicles specifically designed to transport drugs.

Today, Linde Gáz Magyarország Zrt., With the support of the police and the disaster management authority, delivered the coronavirus vaccine from the South Pest Central Hospital to the four designated vaccination sites:

  • to the National Institute of Pulmonology of Korányi
  • to the Department of Pulmonology, Semmelweis University (SOTE)
  • to Gyula Kenézy University Hospital in Debrecen
  • to the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Hospital in Nyíregyháza.

Linde has worked hard in recent weeks to ensure that vaccines are delivered to vaccination centers in the proper conditions and to ensure a continuous supply of ultra-low temperature dry ice, according to the statement.
