Friday’s report from the Strategic Communications Tribe (GCS) also confirmed a decrease in the infection rate in Romania: 3,812 new cases were diagnosed in the last day. This is 75 percent of the average of the last two weeks, and 111 more deaths are 80 percent of the average of the recent period.

In Romania, the authorities did not tighten or ease epidemiological precautions during the holidays. The curfew will remain in effect between Christmas and New Year’s Eve between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., so instead of the midnight liturgies, the ceremonies were held in churches on Thursday night.
