The autopro.hu article recalls that serial production of ID.3 began in Zwickau in November 2019. Therefore, Dresden will be VW’s second facility to build cars based on a modular electric drive concept (MEB) floorplate designed for electric models.

The two plants produced a total of 145,561 e-Golfs over the course of more than seven years. In terms of sales figures, e-Golf is one of the most popular electric cars in Europe. The cordless electric type has been a hit in Norway and Germany in particular.
The successor to the model is also very popular in Europe. Since the start of the European delivery of the ID.3 in September, more than 28,000 units have been delivered to VW customers.
