Many countries have imposed a no-fly zone against the UK after it emerged that a new mutation in the coronavirus, which spreads much faster than the first variant, had hit its head in southern England. Among the former was France, whose restrictions caused a significant disruption to the English side of traffic to the Port of Dover and the Folkestone rail terminal, the M20 motorway to the southeast coast, and one of the nearby disused airports.
The temporary parking lot at Manston Airport was loaded with 2,852 trucks as of Tuesday night, according to the Kent County Council.
