The service provider who buried the funeral of László Kozák, who became known as the artist with the artist’s name, did not comply with the protection measures, for which he was fined, the spokesman for the Police Headquarters informed the MTI National (ORFK).
Kristóf Gál stated that during the inspection of compliance with epidemiological regulations, the police established that the organizer of the event – in this case the provider of the funeral service – did not comply with the requirements of the corresponding government decree, therefore
the Szolnok police headquarters imposed a fine for failure to comply with protective measures.
The spokesperson did not explain the amount of the fine, but stressed that during the funeral, the police did not take action against the mourners for reasons of mercy, taking into account the principles of necessity and proportionality, also in view of the church ceremony. According to a government decree that came into effect on November 11, the number of people present at the funeral cannot exceed fifty. The government decree also stipulates that the event organizer and the operator of the institution or room where the event is held are obliged to ensure compliance with this protection measure.
