Anna Faur, a professor at the University of Theater and Film Arts, was fired with immediate effect, according to the university professors.
Faur received a letter on November 30 in which he fired him dated November 25, and then, on December 1, SZFE’s Quality Management Council wrote a letter to Deputy Director Emil Novák requesting the revocation of the dismissal, citing professional and human arguments.

Anna Faur was a PhD candidate on a three-month trial contract until December 14, but has had an ongoing legal relationship with the university for four years. Starting in 2017, he participated in a three-year European study. It has developed recommendations and methodology for the national core curriculum to reform theater and media education. His research-related study entitled “Processing Pedagogical Problems with Film Tools” is now published in the SZFE publication.
In September, after six months of passive GYED, he continued to work at the Film and Media Institute as a lecturer, member (ex) member of the Quality Management Council. In addition to her four-hour job, she is raising her two-year-old twins.
