During the past 9 days, no national medical director has held briefings for operational staff.

Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections had been identified per day and the number of deaths from the virus was mostly between 50 and 100 in 24 hours. The first step is a partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

Kristóf Gál, ORFK spokesperson, greeted Cecília Müller, the national medical chief, who had been replaced by Ágnes Galgóczi, head of the NNK department, at Friday’s briefing of the operational staff.

Wow Telex he had been trying to find out where Cecilia Müller had gone in recent days, but they had no answer. We now learn from Kristóf Gál that Müller had been working on the steam vaccination program for the past few days, and he was also glad that he could make time for the briefing now.

At the briefing on Friday, he spoke a lot about the importance of vaccination, saying that more than 200,000 people have signed up for the vaccine (this will be covered in detail in another article). Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Kossuth Radio on Friday that 35,000 vaccines could arrive in the country by the end of December and that vaccination could begin on December 27-28. South Pest Central Hospital employees are vaccinated first, followed by county hospitals.

There is a vaccination plan, according to Orbán, if there is enough vaccine, they can vaccinate the whole country in 1-2 days.
