Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections had been identified per day and the number of deaths from the virus was mostly between 50 and 100 in 24 hours. The first step is a partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

Another 4,428 people were diagnosed with the new coronavirus infection (Covid-19), increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 295,977, according to the government information page.

Most of the deaths were in 187 chronically elderly patients, bringing the number of deaths to 7,725.

The number of recovered people is also growing steadily, currently 89,814, the number of active infected people is 198,438.

18 percent of the actively infected, 20 percent of the dead and 23 percent of those recovered are from Budapest.

7,335 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 187 fewer than a day ago. 564 of them are connected to fans, nine fewer than the data released Thursday morning.

There are 45,075 people in official home quarantine, 827 more than a day ago.

32,067 new samples were taken, bringing the number of tests to 2,456,600.

13.8 percent of the tests carried out are positive. According to the recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO), we get a realistic picture of the spread of the epidemic if the positive test rate remains below 5 percent. In Hungary, this relationship has only been achieved since September 9, when the nearly 200-200 thousand mass test tests were added to the figures at the same time.

Currently, the operative court ordered special breaks in 160 kindergartens for one group at a time (5%), 86 kindergartens (3%) and 58 primary schools (2%) for the entire institution, and one o two classes in 391 elementary schools (15%). ) and 32 elementary schools (1%) have an institution-wide digital curriculum.
