György Simonka, a member of the Békés county parliament accused of Fidesz, reacted to the fact that the prosecution had initiated the waiver of his immunity due to another case, including bribery in official proceedings.
György Simonka was called by phone at 24.hu. He said that he does not know what the prosecution is talking about, nor does he know who the person he allegedly bribed is. The Fidesz deputy also told the newspaper that he had caught the coronavirus infection, which is interesting because he participated in the parliamentary vote on Tuesday and Wednesday, the newspaper adds.

Criminal proceedings were launched against György Simonka and his colleagues for budget fraud and other crimes committed in a criminal organization, which caused a particularly large real estate disadvantage: 1.4 billion HUF. His criminal case began on October 13, 2020, he is the defendant in the third degree.
