Police identified a man who shared videos on a community platform about a program that allows the latest national consultation to be massively filled with fictitious data, police said on a website Thursday.

In their statement, they wrote that the Cybercrime Department of the National Reserve Police Investigation Office (KR NNI) is investigating alleged breaches of a report-based data or information system.

According to primary information, NISZ Zrt., Which operates the website of the latest national consultation, has noticed a massive response to the online questionnaire, they wrote. They added that thousands of questionnaires were found to be received online from some of the same IP addresses.

Someone posted several videos about the bulk fill-ins on a community interface showing they were using dummy data to answer the online inquiry questionnaire using an auto-completion program.

Police said cyber investigators identified a person who uploaded a video during the process, whose whereabouts were searched and seized on Wednesday. The man’s IT equipment was confiscated by KR NNI staff and the investigation and analysis of these equipment is still ongoing.
