A strange beachfront video is circulating on social media sites, IFLScience writes. The image shows a headless snake trying to reach the man who hits it with a tennis racket.
According to the alleged author of the recording, he discovered the injured animal while walking the dog.
It is difficult to determine if the recording is original, Steven Beaupré, a University of Arkansas biologist, told Live Science, however, that reflexes in snakes are often seen even after death. Charged particles can remain on the corpse’s nerves, so reflections can cause reflections to occur hours after extinction; the dead snake can even bite.
This means that the headless snake was probably no longer alive, but could still make certain movements. However, it cannot be ruled out that part of his brain has survived and has not yet perished when the video was made.
