Gergely Karácsony, Mayor of Budapest, announced on Wednesday that the Municipality of Budapest will provide free voluntary exams to the citizens of Budapest for five days at four locations.

After pre-registration, the tests will take place in the park of the town hall of the center, Széna tér, the Keleti train station and the Etele tér metro exit, between December 19 and 23, the results of which can be found at 30 minutes.
He added that you can register on the page https://koronavirus.budapest.hu/teszt-eloregistracio, where all the information about the tests is available.

“We know that this amount is not roughly enough for a general test. At the same time, it provides an opportunity for the first Budapest applicants 5,000 years and older than 18 to find out if they are actively infected before the holidays, within 30 minutes after sampling. “said the mayor.

He drew attention to the fact that after the selection of social institutions and the 50,000 antigen tests handed over to the district municipalities, testing of the most important public services in Budapest for the coronavirus will soon begin.

He added that the testing program was launched by the Metropolitan Municipality with the help of 100,000 rapid antigen tests, but several supporters, some 273 contributors, participated in its financing by paying 539 million HUF.

The largest donation, as in the first wave of the epidemic, still came from the Open Society Foundation, and the donations will be used in full for epidemic control and expansion of testing capacity. The fact that OTP Bank sent 10,000 rapid tests to the local government also contributes to this, wrote Gergely Karácsony. (MTI)
