Gabriella Selmeczi, Fidesz Member of Parliament parked a German X7 off-road vehicle with a German license plate in front of the representative’s office building, occupying three seats – writes Tímea Szabó co-chair of the Dialogue on Facebook. According to Szabó, an interesting question is why a deputy goes to parliament with a car with a German registration.

Gabriella Selmeczi doesn’t own a car, according to her estate statement, but she’s been in the news before with another white BMW. In 2018, hvg.hu captured the clandestine forum on a tour of the country, where a pro-government politician arriving with a BMW X5 was also photographed.
Selmeczi later asked not to see the photos on the portal because “this is not a car advertisement.” However, the newspaper did not comply with his request and published several photos of the SUV. The following statement was subsequently issued by the Fidesz Group:
Gabriella Selmeczi rides in a white BMW owned by her husband’s company. The legislation allows a company car to be used even for private purposes, the MEP uses the vehicle legally.
