Today, the parliament votes on the amendment of the constitution

On Tuesday, Parliament will vote on the ninth amendment to the Basic Law, which, according to the government, serves for greater protection of Hungarian families and the safety of children. The session opened at 9:00 am.

This week’s second part-session will start at 9am, when MEPs will mark the anniversary of the Timisoara uprising and then address pre-agenda speeches.

After that, twenty-one proposals will be decided, including the ninth amendment to the Basic Law, which, according to the government, is intended to serve for greater protection of Hungarian families and the safety of children. They can also vote also on the modification of the Electoral Law proposed by Judit Varga, Minister of Justice, to take actions against “camouflage parties” justified by necessity.

At the end of the day sitting a joint debate on the European Union report on the asylum and migration pact.

Parliament will vote on another twenty-two motions on Wednesday.
