Ours started the match better, we attacked with a three-goal lead in minute 5, but only a few minutes later it was 3–3 on the scoreboard. Thanks to vigorous attacks and good defense, the Hungarian team managed to score again with two goals, and in the 12th minute we were 7-4.

The Hungarian attacks worked well mainly on the wings, four of our first ten goals were scored by Schinezl Nadine and two by Lukács Viktória.

We didn’t really find a catch in the Romanians’ defense, ten minutes before the end of the half it was 12-10.

In the 24th minute, the Romanians tied again, and five minutes before the end of the break, they took the lead for the first time during the match and the teams were able to rest at positions 13-14.

At the beginning of the second half, Romania scored two goals, but in the 40th minute, ours tied at a disadvantage and then took the lead.

Romanian captain Bogdan Burcea called time in the 45th minute with a two-goal Hungarian lead.

The teams started with a draw, the Hungarians played handball more collectively and finally won the match 26-24, thus achieving their first victory in the semifinals.

In the other group match, the Netherlands defeated Germany 28-27.

Hungary’s success also means that the team led by Gábor Elek and Gábor Danyi will finish in ninth or tenth place in the continental tournament. Our national team will face the already semi-final of Norway in their last match at 20.30 on Tuesday night.

Gábor Danyi told Sport Tv after the match that when he had to, the team played well in the match, of course the girls can also do better. According to the expert who also manages the Audi ETO KC in Győr, it can be built for this match.
