Another 181 people infected with coronavirus died

The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 4153 new Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 280,400, writes koronavirus.gov.hu.

Most of the deaths were 181 elderly, chronic patients, bringing the number of deaths to 6,965.

Currently, the number of people cured is 80,752, the number of active infected people is 192,683. 18% of the actively infected, 21% of the dead and 23% of the cured are from Budapest. 7,646 coronavirus patients are being hospitalized, 606 of whom are connected to a ventilator.

As they write, the number of infected people continues to grow across Europe, in neighboring countries and in Hungary, with more and more people seeking hospital care.

However, the rules for the Christmas holidays will be decided on December 21, and the overnight curfew will be in effect on New Year’s Eve. The government recently suspended the shopping time zone for seniors so that there would be no tumult in stores during Christmas shopping.
