The suspension is live since Saturday.

Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections had been identified per day and the number of deaths from the virus mostly ranged from 50 to 100 in 24 hours. The first step is partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

The senior shopping bar is really over, as of Saturday, it’s in the Hungarian Gazette published Friday night.

The bar has been suspended at the suggestion of business organizations and the Council of the Elderly, helping to ensure that there is no tumult in stores during Christmas shopping, the Government Information Center announced Friday afternoon. The suspension will remain in effect until a decision to the contrary is made.

Unlike the first time, the shopping lane under the second coronavirus wave no longer meant that those over 65 who were particularly exposed to the infection could only shop in this lane, but only that those under 65 could not enter the store during these hours, but seniors can still visit the stores at any time.
